Dato' Ng Chee Peng
Dato’ Ng Chee Peng was born in Putian, China and came to Malaya with his parents at the age of 10.
In his teens, Dato apprenticed as a bicycle mechanic in Kuala Lumpur. After several years, Dato came home to Seremban to help his father who had started a barber shop.
Alas, it was not his calling and he travelled to Singapore looking for other opportunities. There he had numerous stints as a labourer and taxi driver. In 1946, Dato returned to Seremban and opened a bicycle business.
Our History
From Bicycle to Motorcycle
In 1946, just after the war, Ban Lee Heng opened its doors as a bicycle shop at Paul Street (now Jalan Yam Tuan) in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Dato was a one-man jack of all trades; handling selling, maintenance and repairs with his own two hands.
As fate would have it, it was a chance encounter in 1960 between Dato’ Ng Chee Peng and the late Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew that saw our humble bicycle shop transformed into the sole distributor of Honda Motorcycles in Negeri Sembilan.
From "Two-Wheels" to "Four Wheels".....
After nearly two decades dealing motorcycles, our founder Dato’ Ng Chee Peng witnessed the rising popularity of automobiles. It was then that he decided to foray into the world of cars.
In 1976, Ban Lee Heng was appointed the sole dealer of Honda cars in Seremban, amongst the very first few in Malaysia. The business expanded from one shop to four, catering to the growing town of Seremban.
From then on and for three generations, we have been faithfully serving our customers.
Opening of the First 3S Honda Dealership in Negeri Sembilan...
In 2010, Mr. Johnnie Wong Teck Won, son of our late founder Dato Ng Chee Peng, officiated the opening of our first purpose build Honda 3S Centre in Oakland, Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan.
The 3S Centre comprises a five-car display showroom, customer lounge, cafeteria, and a 36-bay state of the art service centre. This landmark building in Seremban represents Ban Lee Heng’s first step in our drive for customer service excellence.
Opening of the sole Honda Body & Paint in Negeri Sembilan
In 2014, we expanded our services to include Body & Paint Repair facility at Green Technology Park, Seremban 2.
Here we repair and restore unfortunate customer vehicles that are damaged through accidents to the highest standards set by Honda.
Expansion to Melaka!
In 2014, we proudly announce the opening of our second Honda dealership in MiTC Ayer Keroh, Melaka, featuring an 8-car display showroom, expanded customer lounge, cafeteria, and 16 bay service centre (with another 10 bay future expansion).
We rejoice at the opportunity to extend our renowned customer service to the people of Melaka.
