Melaka, 19 December 2022 – Honda Ban Lee Heng Melaka created a new history in the Automotive Industry by organizing the first Type-R Exhibition in Malaysia. Over 100 Type R owners from all over Malaysia participated in this event for the first ever Meet and Greet.

This event brought together most of the Honda Type-R models since the first generation. They consist of the EK9 (1997), EP3 (2001), FN2R (2007), FD2R (2007), FK2 (2015), FK8 (2017), and DC5(2001), including Japanese Domestic Models (JDM) such as S660 (2015), S2000 AP1 (1999), S2000 AP2 (2003) and NSX NA1 (1991). In addition, this event highlighted other limited edition and rare JDM cars, including European Type-R models, which are rare in Malaysia.

Held at our 4S showroom, all these cars were displayed on the premises at this event. With an expectation of 500 attendees, this event was controlled strictly to ensure strict compliance since we are still in the pandemic era.

Despite the poor weather condition, there were still over 500 participants who attended the event and this speaks loudly of the passion for Type R in Malaysia.
